this is much of what keeps me sane. triathlons, mostly. i did my first iron-distance one this summer in germany. the feeling i had after completing it is pretty much the goal i have for feeling all or most of the time. it lasted a good while - even when i got back to the “real world” for a few weeks. (i also felt that way after doing my first triathlon). i felt a boost of confidence and motivation - pretty much like i could accomplish anything i put my mind too. i don’t feel like that too often in my life, but the goal here is to correct that. yoga (although more mind/body than sports) seems to help calm me down, so i try to practice at least once a week.
